Job Description

We respond to homes and businesses following a catastrophic event.  The customer is our highest priority.  Immediate response is essential.

In most cases, calls come in with little or no notice. We contact the technician (once hired) and explain the situation, ask if the person is available, and then arrange transportation to the job site.

Upon arrival, you must act and appear clean, rested, and ready to work, wearing appropriate clothing. Once on site, the Crew Chief will evaluate the loss and begin to assign tasks to individuals. Your assignments will not always be pleasant.  We must always show compassion, but avoid conversations with the customer that prevent work from being completed in a timely manner.

Job Duties:

  • Moving heavy furniture/boxes and manipulate customer contents
  • Removing and  carrying wet carpet/flooring, insulation, wall coverings, and other structural materials
  • Performing work inside P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment) i.e. gloves, respirator, and Tyvek suits.
  • Misc. tasks required to mitigate water, fire, & mold damage in a structure.

What we expect from you:

  • Response to our office within one hour of notification
  • Reliable phone and vehicle
  • Khaki pants, work boots
  • No piercings, visible tattoos, or suggestive clothing
  • Able to lift 75lbs and carry for extended distance
  • Able to climb ladder and use power tools.
  • Maintain professional attitude in sometimes difficult working conditions
  • Able to work long hours, nights, & weekends
  • Able to work in small uncomfortable spaces

Clarifications:

  • Once at office we will transport you to job-site
  • We provide uniform shirts upon arrival. Shirts to be left  IN WASHER at end of shift
  • Tools and P.P.E. will be provided at job site
  • We offer training/programs options to increase your knowledge of our industry and pay rate.  Starting pay is $13.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour available through training certifications.
  • When we arrive to a job, we do not leave until the loss has been stabilized which means sometimes long hours without breaking for extended periods, not knowing exactly when we will leave site, and also how many hours we will be at work.  Consider bringing water and/or food for on-site consumption.

This is information to prepare you for the demands this position.  We try to be as forthcoming as possible so you can be ready to jump in and get working.  We look forward to you joining our team!
