Job Description

FUNCTION: Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP.) Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance.

 

 

 

 

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accounts for, manages, and projects sources and uses of the revenues of PDI.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maintains company records including but not limited to: General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, Disbursements and payroll.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Develops audit systems and trials for accuracy and duplicability of all data.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Analyzes all financial data and assists in directing financial activities of organization.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prepares and submits documentation for tax reporting to PDI’s CPA firm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Assists in acting as liaison between PDI, banking officers, and accountants.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maintains open, effective communications with all departments and branches to ensure complete and timely exchange of accounting/credit information.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Evaluates and controls all administrative expenses of PDI.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Assists in determining requirements for borrowing from banks (Interest rates, term of loan, amount of loan, schedule of payments).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Under the direction of the Director of Finance the Controller is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Corporate Accounting Department (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing) for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Files all employer related taxes in a timely manner including sales tax, payroll tax deposits, payroll quarterly reports, W-2’s, corporate federal and state income tax deposits.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Assists in planning, coordinating and preparing outside CPA firms audit work papers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Directs preparation of company budgets along with Director of Finance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Collaborate with the Payroll/HR Department on all payroll related accounting needs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Works closely with Director of Finance and the Executive Team for accurate and timely work to facilitate company’s needs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Act as a liaison to the managers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Communicates with co-workers, Management Team, Vendors, and Customers in a courteous and professional manner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Manage daily cash flow and calculate the needs at various intervals (i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

8 -10 hours sitting at a computer required.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Strong analytical skills, as well as an understanding of accruals, prepaids, expense allocation, COS, and other basic accounting functions required. Candidate should have minimum of 5 years’ experience in all aspects of Accounting. 3 or more years’ experience in credit/accounting recommended. Proven supervisory and leadership skills required. Exceptional Communication skills a must. AS400 experience preferred.
